AeroVotar : " On June 8, 2012, the Venezuelan government decided to move to New Orleans 19.542 voters originally registered in the city of Miami to vote on the Venezuelan Presidential Elections which will be held on October 7th 2012.
More than 1.727 miles away and a 32-hour drive back and forth, this move prevents a large number of these voters to exercise their right to vote, which represents a direct violation of Article 127 of the Electoral Act and is also an action that threatens Democracy.
We cannot continue to allow the violation of the democratic principles without doing anything to stop it. We have to take concrete actions to defend our right to vote and that's why we've created this initiative.
Our goal is to work together to defend Democracy by raising the necessary funds to try to bring as many Venezuelans as possible to New Orleans so that they can exercise their right to vote on October 7, the day in which we will decide the future of Venezuela and its influence
on an international level. "
